The 16mm tubes is significantly smaller in size and lighter in weight than conventional 18mm tubes in market,  thus enabling night vision system developers to supply smaller and lighter compact devices.
The 16mm tubes consists of a S25+ photocathode bonded to AVG input window, a micro channel
plate(MCP), and a fiber-optic phosphor screen with either straight or twister output.
